About NoJEF
NoJEF (the Norwich Jubilee Esperanto Foundation) is a charitable trust set up in 1967 for the advancement of education in the study and practice of Esperanto.
NoJEF issues grants to help young Esperanto-speakers to use and improve their knowledge of the language, by travelling to congresses, summer courses, etc.
To be eligible for a grant, you must:
- already speak Esperanto sufficiently well enough to take part in your planned activity, and to write a letter in Esperanto introducing yourself and explaining your travel plans,
- be under 26 years old,
- provide references from two suitable people, guaranteeing your character and your Esperanto capabilities.
If you do not speak Esperanto well enough to understand the explanatory text in Esperanto, then you're not yet eligible to apply for a grant from the Foundation. You should contact Esperanto-Asocio de Britio (www.esperanto-gb.org) for information about courses in Esperanto.

If you don't yet speak Esperanto well enough to understand the NoJEF rules in Esperanto or to write the necessary letter in Esperanto, and you would like to improve your knowledge of the language, then visit the EAB or the Esperanto Education websites, where you can find more information about how to learn or support the language.

Donations can, if desired, be earmarked to set up a memorial fund in memory of yourself or someone else. There is already a small fund to help young disabled Esperantists, and a considerably larger one to help young Esperantists to visit China.
